The BATBACK battery backed charger board enables a conventional regulated power supply to be
connected to a lead acid backup battery where a truly uninterruptible power
supply is required. During normal operation, the charger board ensures the
standby battery (not included) is continuously trickle charged while allowing
full power to be supplied to the connected load. By means of inbuilt diode
blocking, should the main power supply fail due to loss of mains, the power
supply is automatically isolated while power is simultaneously drawn from the
connected battery. Fast switching diodes ensure that continuous power is always
available at the output terminals.
